As my first horse painting, I painted with a different technique and abstract style in 2012, I could never imagine painting many horses in the future. I was a horse lover when I was a child, but being a jockey was like a dream in Iran in those decades, I kept these dreams until I participated in the TJK painting competition in 2022. After the competition, I received many orders for painting horses. After a time, I started working on horse collections.

Burak/Boragh

Burak horse ascension: According to Islamic belief, Burak is the flying vehicle of the sky for Prophet's ascension mount. It literally means one who approaches and brings closer to God. Being a winged horse-like creature with the head of a woman like a Unicorn in Iranian miniatures, is an example of feminine divinity in Islam. After the Industrial Revolution, people's perspective on life began to change, and this change also affected their religious views. No matter how hard religious institutions tried to stand firm, many mystical symbols began to turn into objects like ancient mythology symbols, as the people began to see them more logically. I started to encounter Burak as a more real horse by leaving the framework of miniatures in size, form, and symbols. Sometimes I added the names of God to this journey by using calligraphy such as Esmaül Husna (not as a calligraphy artist, but instead as a painter who uses calligraphy in art).

Truva horse is a wooden model made by Odysseus, who is famous for his intelligence, to break through the Troy city walls and sneak into the city. It is one of the stories of the most striking epics of the Ancient Period and the first horse in mythology that was designed as a war strategy trick by using horse lovers' emotion, and maybe one of the first girl abduction adventures in Turkey. The horse statue as a symbol of ending ten years of war became an object and instead of bringing peace, brought war and massacre to the city. How can the story of Troy be a story with the observation of a contemporary artist (contemporary life, economy, war, ect)? Instead of answering the questions, I am trying to examine the subject by asking the questions. From 500 B.M. to the present, are we still running away from girls for marriage, can we still endure long wars, are we still being deceived in foreign policy?
